BJP seeks better implementation of PMFBY to help farmers
BJP Warangal Urban district president Rau Padma, along with local BJP Kisan Morcha leaders submitted a memorandum to District Collector Amrapali Kata in Hanamkonda.
Hanamkonda: Seeking proper implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bheema Yojana (PMFBY) to help farming community,
BJP Warangal Urban district president Rau Padma, along with local BJP Kisan Morcha leaders submitted a memorandum to District Collector Amrapali Kata in Hanamkonda.
In the memorandum the party leaders appealed the Collector to create awareness among the farmers on the yojana benefits.
Meetings with agriculture, horticulture and revenue officials in all districts should be held to achieve better coordination in the scheme implementation.
At all district headquarters centres should be opened to collect the premium to avail the crop insurance.
Farmers could not pay the premiums in time as the scheme’s introduction was delayed in kharif season.
Efforts should be made to educate the farmers to pay the premiums at the time of availing the loans, Padma suggested. Similarly programmes like awareness meetings, distribution of hand bills, campaign through media should conducted.
The agriculture and revenue departments should initiate measures in this direction, she added.
