Kamareddy: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Wednesday demanded the State government to take over the Kamareddy Government Degree College lands, as 100 of the 269 acres have been encroached.

Speaking after participating in a programme organised by the local Students JAC, he demanded the upgradation of the college into a University, after spending the funds being released for the institution.

Later, he extended support to the IKP VAOs who have been staging dharna for the last 12 days at the local revenue divisional office to press their demands. The TJAC leader sought to justify the demands and stressed that they should be conceded by the government.He told The Hans India that the VAOs should be paid the minimum wages and recognised as government employees.
