The students of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, put up a magnificent display of the innovative engineering projects during the annual student technical festival called Adsophos 2017

Hyderabad: The students of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, put up a magnificent display of the innovative engineering projects during the annual student technical festival called Adsophos 2017 on Saturday and Sunday. The expo was inaugurated by Zafar Javeed Sahab, Secretary, SUES in the Ghulam Ahmed Hall of the college.

The students of all engineering branches have demonstrated projects which reflects the novel thought process and there fine engineering skills which was reflected in the 3D hologram displayed by the CSE Department. The Robotics center of ECE department have put up 14 very interesting robots that includes a humanoid, wall climbing robot, Spiderbot, 2D printing robot, prosthetic arm, a system to control odd even traffic concept equipped with speed radars, which is very efficient and automatic SMS facilities to the drivers informing about their traffic violation penalties along with photos, and many more, these robotics were developed by the second year engineering students using ordinary usable mobile gadgets and other electronic equipment.

The Civil engineering department students have build model of self-sustainable smart city, a working model of Falkirk wheel rotating boat lift of Scotland, Sewage water treatment plant, energy created on Self movements on daily workouts, which can be stored and utilised for mobile charging to street lights etc., several innovative projects which are really practical and need of the time and need to be applied in our day today life, it is an excellent display.

Further the students have utilised the expertise of the latest technology called Internet of Things (IoT) which is being used to connect internet to any device and control the device from any corner of the world. The students have demonstrated the project of IoT based farming using an intelligent fountain and plant habitat using drip irrigation.

Zafar Javeed was very impressed with the engineering concepts and mentioned that the SUES always encourages engineering talent to come out with fresh ideas and implement the same. Basheer Ahmed, Advisor cum Director of MJCET mentioned that special budget has been allocated under research and development funds for nurturing such projects.

The engineering expo has attracted huge crowd from across the twin cities and over 5000 students attended on Saturday. Ferhathullah Hussainy, Dean, MJCET congratulated the students of the college on this wonderful demonstration of engineering skills.
