Gangaur is the most important festival of Rajasthani people, with a common belief that if unmarried girls observe the rituals of this festival they get a nice life partner of their choice. And if the married women observe the same, she is said to be blessed with a happy married life and long life of their husbands.

Every year, the festival is celebrated in a grand manner. Women all around the town gather at the local hanuman temple and water the holy plant during all these days, which is believed to be a divine service for the plants in these days. The festival starts on a full moon day and ends on the new moon day.

Speaking to The Hans India, Savita tiwari said “Truly this festival makes us keep our valued and traditions alive. Especially in the world we are in, relations have almost become formal, but this festival brings us together and adds joy to our life. I truly believe that our festivals do bring us at a common place to celebrate the life.'
