Here are a couple of recipes to beat the heat

Strawberry and meringue smoothie
When you want a tasty and refreshing snack, a smoothie does the trick. With its enticing blend of sweet vanilla, fresh strawberries and crunchy meringue, this coffee dessert recipe is a delicious treat with an international touch.

Preparation time 15 min

Ingredients
For 1 serving

  • 6/8 ice cubes
  • 100g (2 scoops) vanilla ice cream
  • 2 strawberries
  • 30ml espresso
  • 35g whipped cream
  • 10g meringue

To decorate

  • 3g meringue
  • 5g strawberry syrup

Method

  • Prepare a short espresso. Pour the ice, which you can break into pieces first, directly into the mixer, along with the ice cream, fresh strawberries, and lastly, the espresso.
  • Mix at high speed: the smoothie should be thick, not liquid. To reach this consistency, stop the mixer every so often and stir the smoothie with a spoon to avoid lumps.
  • Add the meringue and stir with a long spoon.

Presentation

  • Serve the smoothie in a tall tumbler, cover with whipped cream and decorate it with meringue and strawberry syrup.
