Hanamkonda: The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, has been planning to distribute clothes to poor Hindus on the occasion of festivals like Dasara and Bathukamma, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao revealed.

It was being contemplated to distribute clothes to poor families in Hindu community from the next Bathukamma festival like it was being done in the case of poor minorities, the Minister said while addressing Warangal West assembly segment workers’ meeting in Hanamkonda on Monday.

It might be noted that in view of the TRS’s April 27 public meeting here, hectic campaigning was being conducted in erstwhile Warangal, urging public to attend the meeting in large numbers and make it a grand success.

The Deputy Chief Minister, K Srihari and Irrigation Minister Harish Rao have addressed party workers at different places. The Deputy CM addressed party workers of Wardhannapet assembly segment at a meeting held in Hanamkonda on the day.

Minister Harish Rao in a whirlwind tour has covered Jangaon, Station Ghanpur, Warangal East and West assembly segments on the day and exhorted the party workers and leaders to mobilise maximum number of public for the TRS meeting.

Explaining the importance of the April 27 meeting, he said the meeting was the first one to be held on a massive scale after formation of the TRS government. The Chief Minister would speak about the achievements so far and would present future plans on the development of the State.

He said the Telangana government has been praised as a model State in terms of development and welfare activities. The initiatives being taken up by the CM have won accolades from senior politicians in the country.

But the BJP, Congress and TDP leaders have been making false and baseless allegations against the TRS government. The Opposition parties were not able digest the pro-poor and pro-farmer measures and feared that they would lose ground in the State.

“The Congress and BJP leaders are stooping to such a low level that they are even finding fault with the government’s decision to credit Rs 4,000 per acre into the farmers’ accounts to procure fertilizers,” the Minister complained.

Harish Rao noted that there has been an overwhelming response from the common public, mainly farming community, in the state to the April 27 meeting. The public in the village were voluntarily making arrangements to attend the meeting.

Deputy CM Srihari noted that there is no political party that could challenge the TRS in the State. The innovative welfare measures being implemented by the Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao have been making the national-level leaders and CM’s of other states amazed.

He asserted that the TRS would win 2019 elections with huge majority and form the government. On the day, MLA D Vinay Bhasker conducted door-to-door campaign in Hanamkonda asking public to turn up at the public meeting. In Warangal East Gundu Vijay Raj led a motorbike rally campaigning for the party meeting.
