Pamu Sampath (45), resident of Baddam Yellareddynagar of Sircilla town submitted an application form to the Collector in Sircilla on Monday, on the occasion of Grievance Day.

He explained about his hearing problem in the application and the Collector moved over his plight, immediately directed District Welfare Officer (DWO) Saraswathi to make arrangements to give hearing machine to Sampath. The DWO checked his application and sanctioned a hearing machine which the Collector gave to the applicant.

Sampath thanked the Collector and the DWO for their quick response. Speaking on the occasion, DWO M Saraswathi said that four laptops were given to blind students, who completed post graduation from the hands of IT Minister K T Rama Rao earlier.

On behalf of District Welfare Department, as many as 25 tri-cycles, five hearing machines and six hand-sticks were given to disabled persons in the district till date, through Telangana Vikalangula Corporation of Hyderabad, she said.
