Celebrate Telangana Formation Day with pomp: Mahabubabad Collector
District Collector Dr Preethi Meena ordered the officials of various departments to make necessary arrangements for celebrating Telangana State Formation Day on a grand note in the district.
Mahabubabad: District Collector Dr Preethi Meena ordered the officials of various departments to make necessary arrangements for celebrating Telangana State Formation Day on a grand note in the district.
She chaired a meeting with the officials of various departments to discuss the arrangements to be made for the fete at the Collectorate Conference Hall in Mahabubabad on Wednesday.
Addressing the officials, the Collector said the event would be held at NTR Stadium on June 2. She asked the officials to establish stalls, which explain various government welfare schemes apart from preparing attractive tableaux of Amma Vodi, Single Women, Mana Telangana- Mana Vyavasayam and fertiliser bounty.
Rallies with various art forms as per Telangana tradition and culture must be organised, she told. Apart from establishingfood stalls of ‘Telangana Ruchulu’, decoration of all government office buildings and main centres must be taken up.
The police staff was told to look after the arrangements for conducting the parade and flag hoisting programmes and to set up tight security to prevent any untoward incidents.
DSP Nandyala Koti Reddy, JC K Damodar Reddy, DRO Rambabu and other officials attended the meeting.
