Krishna District Cricket Association (KDCA) B Division League for Devineni Venkata Ramana and Praneetha Memorial Trophy matches made it to the semi-finals on Thursday. Mega XI and Motors XI teams entered the semi-finals.

Krishna District Cricket Association (KDCA) B Division League for Devineni Venkata Ramana and Praneetha Memorial Trophy matches made it to the semi-finals on Thursday. Mega XI and Motors XI teams entered the semi-finals.

The quarter-final matches were conducted at Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) grounds in Mulapadu of Ibrahimpatnam mandal near the city.

In first quarter-final match Mega XI won by 15 runs lead over Friends Jaitra cricket club. Mega team won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 201 runs for loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. Malli made a half-century and other batsman Sandeep scored 41 runs and Razaq scored 37 runs.

Friends Jaitra cc scored 186 runs for loss of seven wickets in 25 overs. Team batsman K Arun Kumar made a half-century (67 runs). With this win, the Mega team entered the semi-finals.

In second match Motors XI won by six wickets against Milestone team. Milestone team scored 121 runs in 24.4 overs. Motors bowler Leela Ram Prasad took four wickets while giving away 16 runs. Later, Motor team reached the target 123 runs for loss of four wickets. Chidambeswara Rao made an unbeaten half-century (71 runs in 44 balls, seven boundaries and three sixes) which helped the team win thus giving them a place in the semi-finals.

In the third quarter-final match, Aslam Elite team won the match by nine wickets against Young Patriots. Aslam’s batsman Sri Kanth performed well and made unbeaten half-century (80 runs in 59 balls, eight boundaries and two sixes) helping the team win and giving them a place in the semi-finals.

In another match John David MBP XI team won by six wickets overs Sadupati Rama Rao cc in last quarter-final match and entered the semi-finals.
