Congress party leaders and members celebrated the 47th birthday of All India Congress Committee vice-president Rahul Gandhi on a grand note, at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan in Khammam on Monday.

Khammam: Congress party leaders and members celebrated the 47th birthday of All India Congress Committee vice-president Rahul Gandhi on a grand note, at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan in Khammam on Monday.

After cutting the cake on the occasion, district president of the Congress party Ayitam Sathyam wished Rahul Gandhi and prayed for his long and healthy life. Speaking on the occasion, Sathyam said Rahul Gandhi’s birthday was celebrated as Sankalp Diwas across the country in an attempt to reach out to the needy.

He also explained about several constructive activities taken up Rahul Gandhi for strengthening the party across the country. He wished that he would become Prime Minister after 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Party leaders Vaddiboina Narasimha Rao, Nagendla Deepal Choudari, Md Tajauiddin Choudari, V V Appa Rao, Md Fazal, Taluri Hanumanth Rao, Kalvakuntla Gopal, M Venkateshwar Rao, Banothu Raju, Banothu Balaji Naik, Bandi Mani, Anantha Lakshmi, Bhavani, Pushpa Latha, Chayadevi and Vinodamma were part of the celebrations.
Books distributed

The leaders of Youth Congress and Congress OBC Cell distributed books to the poor students of Girls High School at Guttala Bazaar on the occasion. The Youth leaders Naresh, Mohan, Pradeep Shah, Veerabhadram, Sathish, Praveen and Ahmed were present along with others.
