Kolanpaka: Central Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has urged people to maintain cleanliness in villages to create healthy environment.

On Monday, Dattatreya visited Kolanpaka, the village he adopted under Sansad Adarsh Grama Yogana Scheme. After offering prayers at Jain Mandir, the Union Minister interacted with villagers and handed over a tractor to Sarpanch Srinivas for collection of litter in the village.

Assuring Central government aid and support, he advised students and youth to extend their services for the development of their villages.

He stated that Kolanpaka has its own identity as a historic place and promised its overall development through Central funds. The Union Minister informed that plans were afoot to construct a ring road from Yadagirigutta to Jangaon and Siddipet.

Stating that farmers were backbone of the nation, he informed that government was planning to provide Rs 3 lakh loan to every farmer.

In first phase, as many as 300 houses would be constructed for Beedi workers in Kolanpaka, and saplings would be planted on either side of the road from Aler to Kolanpaka to improve greenery, he added.
