Karimnagar Collector distributes sheep to beneficiaries
District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed distributed sheep to the beneficiaries here at Mannepally village of Thimmapur mandal in the district on Friday under the prestigious project of ‘Sheep Rearing Scheme’ introduced by the State government for the shepherd community.

A total of 18 members beneficiaries were selected through the lottery system in the Gram Sabha held in the month of May out of which the District Collector distributed sheep units to around 8 members.
Interacting with the beneficiaries who belong to shepherd community, the Collector enquired from them as to how they were going to take care of the sheep which were distributed under the ‘Sheep Rearing Scheme’. He told them that since there was plenty of rainfall during these days, they may not face problem of shortage of fodder for feeding the sheep.
The Collector advised the beneficiaries to take necessary steps for growing of fodder required for the sheep in their fields to overcome the shortage of fodder in coming days especially in the months of January and February.
He also administered the deworming medicine to the sheep that were distributed to the beneficiaries. Later, Collector Ahmed participated in the third phase of plantation programme Haritha Haram and planted the saplings with the staff members of Electricity Sub-station at Mannepally village of Thimmapur mandal.
Joint Director of Animal Husbandry D Vikram, Revenue Development Officer Raja Goud, Mandal Parishad Development Officer Pawan, Sarpanch Gaddam Suguna and MPP Budidha Prema Latha were present along with the villagers.
