Sircilla Collector buys sheep from Kadapa district
With a view to speed up sheep distribution programme under the State government’s Sheep Rearing Scheme, District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar on Monday inspected various kinds of sheep breeds for purchasing in Kadapa district.
Sircilla: With a view to speed up sheep distribution programme under the State government’s Sheep Rearing Scheme, District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar on Monday inspected various kinds of sheep breeds for purchasing in Kadapa district.
He, along with the officials and veterinary doctors visited markets in Kadapa and met the officials of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary doctors. Later he purchased better breeds of sheep for distributing them to the beneficiaries in Sircilla district.
The Collector handed over the cheque to the shepherds after purchasing sheep from them and suggested the officials to take necessary steps for transporting them carefully to Sircilla district.
He also advised them to speed up the process of sheep purchasing for implementing Sheep Rearing Scheme in the district as early as possible. Animal Husbandry department Joint Director Kanthaiah Sena and veterinary doctors were present along with others.
