Hanamkonda: Passion, hard work and keen focus on the goal are the key ingredients required for an individual to excel and achieve big in the life, noted Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata.

Everyone commits mistakes in their lives but it is essential to realise the mistake and bounce back to excel. It is very important to stay fit mentally and physically, when one has to scale great heights, the Collector suggested.

She addressed a gathering of students at Pingle Government College for Women in Hanamkonda on Tuesday. Sulakshya Seva Samithi in association with the college organised a seminar on the topic ‘Dream Big, Work Hard and Achieve Success’.

Amrapali further wanted the students to read newspapers and books on a regular basis in order to improve their language and communication skills, besides themselves updated about the latest happenings across the globe.

Nikitha Boga, who secured all India rank 934 in UPSC and all India rank 92 in Indian Forest Services, said women are a great asset to the society, adding that she faced many challenges in preparing for civil services and it made her a better person.

Sriramoju Chitharanjan, who secured All India Rank 357, opined that patience and perseverance are very important in cracking civil services exams. He owed his success to his father. ‘Because of my father I have cultivated the habit of reading newspapers since my childhood.’

All India Rank 526 rank holder Ch Rupesh said that government educational institutions have got all the facilities and students should make maximum utilisation of them. Reading success stories will definitely give a moral boost to the students to succeed, he noted.

Sulakshya Seva Samithi founder president Santhosh Manduva and the College Principal G Indira also spoke. Renuka Manduva, Kodam Vinay, Afzal Rana, Vengal Reddy, V Krishna Rao, Venugopalam and huge gathering of students were present.
