Sircilla: After laying the foundation stone, the construction of works of new Collectorate building for Rajanna Sircilla district will be completed within one year, informed the Engineer-in-Chief of the Roads and Buildings Department, I Ganapathi Reddy here on Tuesday.

The Engineer-in-Chief visited the district to inspect the land that was allotted by the government for the construction of new Collectorate on the outskirts of Sircilla town. He discussed about the building plan with the Additional Director of the District Survey and Land Records, Srinivas, and with the Engineering officials and gone through the layout design.

Speaking on the occasion, Ganapathi Reddy said that the R&B department is under taking the construction works of the new Collectorate buildings for 26 districts (21 newly formed districts along with five existing districts) in Telangana State.

Inspection of sites allocated for the Collectorate buildings in various districts is in progress. The officials will discuss certain important points like whether that land is suitable or not, if suitable how the layout must be and how it can be constructd scientifically, he informed.

The new Collectorate buildings with all essential departments will be constructed at a cost of Rs 35 crores along with the residences of Collector, Superintendent of Police and Joint Collector. The construction works will be started within a week, assured the Engineer-in-chief.

Chief architect Usha Reddy, R&B department Superintending Engineer Satish, Executive Engineer Vigneshwar Reddy and AO of S&LR Srinivas were present along with Vasthu advisor Teja.
