Youth forum wants degree colleges at Icchoda
The youth of five mandals have formed a forum ‘B Sign Development Forum’ to fight for setting up of two degree colleges, including one for the tribal students.
Boath (Adilabad): The youth of five mandals have formed a forum ‘B Sign Development Forum’ to fight for setting up of two degree colleges, including one for the tribal students.
Youth of Icchoda, Neredigonda, Sirigonda, Gudihatnoor and Bazarhatnoor met at the Government High School here on Sunday and resolved to request for the setting up of the degree colleges at Icchoda, which is equidistant from the rest of the four villages.
The forum sought establishing the Girijan college, which was earlier allotted to Boath Assembly constituency but not established and the other degree college at Ichchoda.
The forum elected it executive body. Honorary president - Perumandla Swamy, president - M A Zakir, vice-president - L Maruti and secretaries - Hanumanthu, Dattu and Nitin.
The executive body decided to step up their efforts demanding degree colleges. The forum appealed to the elected people’s representatives strive to set up degree colleges at Icchoda.
A member of the forum said that they would put pressure on the elected people’s representatives to solve problems related to the five mandals.
