Review of Mission Bhagiratha works held in Jagtial
District Collector Dr A Sharath ordered the officials of concerned department to speed up and complete the works of Mission Bhagiratha within the prescribed time limit since Jagtial is one of the districts, where pure drinking water is will be supplied to every household under the first phase by December 2017.

He chaired a review meeting with the officials of concerned departments to discuss on the progress of Mission Bhagiratha works at the conference hall of Rural Development Office here on Friday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Collector ordered the officials to complete the all the works concerned by the end of August along with completing pipelines fitting works to every household and laying of intra-village pipeline works.
They were also told to take up repair works by replenishing them to previous form immediately after pipelines are laid in agricultural lands and on both sides of the road.
The Collector ordered them to prepare a perfect report about pump sets, pipes and water treatment plants that are required after checking thoroughly about the already existing ones in the towns and submit it.
Under the 79 packages, about 329 Over Head Service Reservoir (OHSR) tanks are to be constructed as part of Mission Bhagiratha project. Till date 206 OHSR tanks were completed under 45 packages.
The remaining works must be completed by the end of August along with sanctioning bills to the works that are completed by entering the details in the records.
He directed the officials to organise a meeting with the contractors to know the problems if any and take steps for completing the OHSR tanks works within the prescribed time limit.
In-charge Joint Collector Musharaf Farooqi, Jagtial Rural Development Officer Dr G Narendar, District Revenue Officer T Shyam Prakash, Rural Water Supply Department Superintending Engineer Prakash Rao and Executive and Assistant Engineers of Mission Bhagiratha were present along with others.
