Peddapalli: The Principal Secretary of Registrations and Stamps Department, B R Meena, directed the officials of revenue department to take necessary steps for reforming revenue records from village to mandal-level. He held a video conference from Hyderabad with the Collectors of all districts here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, B R Meena explained about the Land Acquisition Act and the process that must be applied while entering the details of the lands that were acquired from the farmers into the records and the process of enrolling of details into the revenue records and about how orders must be issued.

The officials of revenue department must take necessary steps for setting up the revenue records in a proper way from village to mandal-level along with avoiding mistakes in enrolling the details of lands, 1-B, pahanis and online pahanis, he ordered.

‘The names of dead persons should not be included in pahanis. The details present in the manual pahani must match with the details that are enrolled in online pahani,’ he added.

Later the in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy launched a monthly magazine titled ‘Telangana Revenue’ along with the officials of revenue department at the Collectorate.

Manthani Rural Development Officer Padmaiah, Tahsildars and officials of revenue of department were present along with others.
