Nalgonda Collector calls for cracking whip on erring sanitary staff
Collector Gaurav Uppal on Monday carried out a sudden inspection of the Nalgonda town to monitor the functioning of municipality. He inspected sanitation at Clock Tower centre, Udipi Hotel area on Hyderabad road, Srinagar Colony, Laxmi Narasimha Colony, Shivaji Nagar, Rahamath Nagar, Manyam Chalka.
Nalgonda: Collector Gaurav Uppal on Monday carried out a sudden inspection of the Nalgonda town to monitor the functioning of municipality. He inspected sanitation at Clock Tower centre, Udipi Hotel area on Hyderabad road, Srinagar Colony, Laxmi Narasimha Colony, Shivaji Nagar, Rahamath Nagar, Manyam Chalka.
He also inspected the construction works of the community hall in Valmiki Nagar. After inspection, the Collector ordered the officials to carry out sanitation works regularly to keep the town clean, and directed the Municipal Commissioner to stop the salaries of absentee sanitation staff apart from initiating stringent action against them.
He further advised the officials to paste the photographs of sanitation staff in the records and issue identity cards to them. Asking the officials to crack a whip on erring contractors, he suggested putting such contractors in black list.
He further suggested dismantling of illegal constructions in government lands in the town and directed the officials to take the help of Revenue and police in protecting government properties.
Joint Collector Narayana Reddy, Municipal Commissioner Rajender Reddy, RDO Venkatachary, Executive Engineer Ramulu, officials and councilors of various wards accompanied the Collector.
