Sircilla: The handloom city - Sircilla - is going to transform into a healthy city with the establishment of various types of advanced health centers in the town, said District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar.

Speaking to the press persons at his chamber in the Collectorate on Monday, the Collector said that IT Minister K T Rama Rao along with Health Minister C Lakshma Reddy are going to inaugurate Dialysis Centre, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Blood Bank in the Government Main Hospital along with laying foundation stones for the construction of Mother and Child Health Care Centre and Nursing Degree College in the town on Tuesday (August 22).

He also said that for strengthening the Medical and Health sector in the State, the government is taking up number of activities along with establishing advanced health centers with highly modern equipments. For providing better medical services for the people in the district, the IT Minister took the initiation to establish these advanced centers here, informed Krishna Bhaskar.

Mega plantation drive on August 23
The Collector, D Krishna Bhaskar, informed that a Mega plantation drive will be organised on August 23 as part of third phase of Haritha Haram programme.

As many as 10 lakh saplings will be planted in all the mandals across the district in one day and also necessary steps will be taken for protecting the planted saplings, he added.

The Collector urged people of all sections to participate in the plantation programme and make it a grand success. District Revenue Officer Shyamlal Prasad, Hospital Superintendent Dr Thirupathi and District Public Relation Officer Mamindla Dasharatham were present along with others.
