About 150 police personnel led by ACP Tirupathi conducted cordon and search operations at Rajiv Gruhakalpa apartments in Chinkunta in Karimnagar in the early hours of Monday.

Interacting with the people, the ACP said that cordon and search operations are being conducted for the safety of the people and to keep check on anti-social activities.

Ganesh pandals must be established after taking permissions from the officials of concerned departments. The residents must come forward for installation of CCTV cameras in their colonies to keep check on crime. The persons who possess smart phones must download the Hawk Eye app and can utilise the services provided by the police personnel without coming to the police station, the ACP advised.

During cordon and search operations, the stolen vehicles and both who bought and sold the stolen vehicles could be caught easily along with those, who were indulged in anti-social activities, he explained.

He warned the people to be cautious while purchasing vehicles from unknown persons and without proper documents. Otherwise they have to face problems if they are caught during search operations. The police had seized about 2o two-wheelers and 25 autos, which do not have proper documents and 25 kg PDS rice and ghutka packets worth Rs 5,000.

Circle Inspectors Shashidar Reddy, Karunakar Rao, Sub-Inspectors Ramesh, Krishna Reddy, Naresh Reddy, Koteshwar, and Swarupa Rao, Reserve Sub-Inspectors Kumaraswamy and Jhani Miya were present along with 150 members of police personnel in the cordon and search operation.
