Jagtial: The officials were told to plant saplings of mango and other fruit yielding plants with a proper planning in 30 acres of the SKNR Degree College in Jagtial, to transform it into a forest.

At a meeting at the Collectorate here on Tuesday, District Collector Dr A Sharath directed the officials to prepare the ground for the plantation by removing waste plants, preparing the soil and digging pits along with arranging drip irrigation method to supply water.

They were also told to plant the saplings on either side of roads covering the distance of about 170 kilometers and also on either side of road from Canal to Thatipally Junction as part of plantation drive. District and Rural Development Officer Aruna Sri, Roads & Buildings Executive Engineer Kamalakar Rao, Additional Director of Horticultural Department Pratap Singh and SKNR Principal Kishan were present along with others.
