Sircilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar directed the officials of revenue department to complete the structure payments (Ex-gratia paid to houses) to the villages that are under the threat submergence (Mumpu Gramalu) of Mid Manair Reservoir (MMR), by the end of August.

The Collector chaired a review meeting with the officials of revenue department to discuss on the structure payments to be paid to the villagers living under threat of MMR, here at the Collectorate conference hall on Wednesday.

Speaking at the meeting, Krishna Bhaskar reminded the officials about 276 structure payments that were left pending, which are to be paid to the villagers living under MMR and ordered them to complete the payments by the end of August.

He ordered the officials to take necessary steps for providing rescue shelters and relief camps to people of R&R Colony along with issuing awards and ex-gratia to the people who lost their lands under MMR.

Provide all the R&R benefits to about 1,700 beneficiaries by dividing them under various categories like change of profession and project displaced families along with identifying the buildings for relief camps, ordered the Collector.

The officials were also told to prepare proposals for providing basic facilities like electricity and to conduct trial run for supplying drinking water in the presence of Special Officer and village Sarpanch along with repairing works in R&R colony.

Joint Collector Yasmine Basha, District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, Rural Development Officer Panduranga. Executive Engineer of MMR Ashok Rao and Tahsildar were present along with others.
