The Collector chaired the District Hospital Developmental Committee meeting to discuss the health services being provided to the people, at Collectorate on Monday.

Speaking at the meeting, the District Collector ordered the health officials to take necessary steps to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases like dengue, malaria and typhoid apart from providing better health services to people suffering from seasonal diseases.

He asked the officials to take steps for conducting cent per cent normal deliveries in the government hospitals. “The Anganwadi teachers and ASHA workers must create awareness among pregnant women regarding institutional deliveries,” he said, adding that KCR kits must be given to all eligible pregnant women.

Stating that every patient who visits government and area hospitals must be taken care of, the Collector said if necessary health services must be extended to the patients by roping in specialists.

The technical reports related to Arogyasri cases must be submitted time to time to officials concerned along with spreading the ambulance services of 108 and 104 vehicles, he said, adding that steps must be taken to fill up the vacant posts in the Health department as early as possible.

Trainee Collector Hanmanthu Kodimba, DRO J Shiva Srinivasulu, DMHO Dr Kondal Rao, Chief Executive Officer Marapaka Nagesh and District Panchayat Raj Officer Srinivas Reddy were present along with others.
