Bhadradri hospital creates new record
The Government Area Hospital here performed over 501 deliveries in August. On Thursday, the doctors conducted the delivery of Champa Nagalakshmi of Mallelamadugu village of Aswapuram mandal who gave birth to a baby girl taking the number of institutional deliveries in the hospital in August to 501.

On Thursday, the doctors conducted the delivery of Champa Nagalakshmi of Mallelamadugu village of Aswapuram mandal who gave birth to a baby girl taking the number of institutional deliveries in the hospital in August to 501.
Conducting so many deliveries in a month was possible with the help of contract medical officers in remote agency areas, the hospital staff said. District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr Dayananda Swamy appreciated the efforts of the Area hospital staff for achieving the rare feat. He wished the hospital to keep up the good work in future too.
Meanwhile, the staff claimed that the 100-bed area hospital conducting as many as more than 500 deliveries is unheard of.
Speaking to The Hans India, Dr Koti Reddy, the Area Hospital Superintendent attributed the feat to the team work of medical officers. He said the medical officers and he felt blessed to serve the poor of the agency area through their hospital.
