Vijayawada: ACP K Sravani inaugurated Taruni Tarangalu, a women’s organisation at Ravi Chettu centre, Moghalrajpuram here on Tuesday.

The ACP, while addressing the gathering, appreciated all the women’s organisations for being a part of Taruni Tarangalu. She informed that the Vijayawada city police have women’s safety as the top priority. The police are to affiliate themselves with the organisation to support the upliftment of women.

Former MP and Taruni Tarangalu honorary president, Chennupati Vidya said that all women organisations in Vijayawada had collectively formed Taruni Tarangalu with a motto to bring out talent, skill, proficiency and competitive spirit among women.

She launched the Logo of TT, after which she stated that TT currently had about 400 members and students can also become active members of it. Vidya said that every mother should treat her child without discrimination, regardless of gender.

She said that TT was formed beyond politics, caste and creed. The organisation would fight and achieve women’s rights.

She further said, “We have to put effort to bring change in people and the government.”

Stressing on the need to bring change from the school and college-levels, she added that every individual should strive to bring change in society.
