Guntur: Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, stressed on the need to protect our ancient tradition and culture.
He addressed a meeting held on the occasion of Sankranti Sambaralu here on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government was conducting Sankranti Sambaralu to carry forward our ancient culture to future generations.
He appreciated the GMC for conducting Sankranti Sambaralu and conducting various competitions to students. He said that our Telugu tradition and culture has its own significance in the world. He spoke on the significance of Rangooli and Gobbemmalu.
GMC Commissioner Ch Anuradha said that the GMC conducted three days Sankranti Sambaralu in the NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium.
Later, Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao was felicitated. GMC officials were also present.
