Banyan Tree presents the launch of the Young Buds module for school children in music in Hyderabad! This is a part of the non-profit Tender Roots Academy of Performing Arts initiated by Banyan Tree to expose young school children to the rich heritage of the performing arts. This module is designed to encourage young school children on their musical journey. 

Children who are learning music across three genres- Carnatic (Vocal/Instrumental), Hindustani (Vocal/Instrumental) and Western Instrumental are welcome to audition for this module. Students selected from auditions receive the following opportunities:
 
1. Mentor-ship from experienced musicians
2. Opportunities to collaborate and perform with other talented students from across genres, as part of prestigious & sought-after ensembles
3. Experience of performing in live concerts
4. Scholarships (starting this year!) for exceptionally talented students in need

So far, from this module alone, over 150 young children have benefited, with some having even received the direct blessings of maestros like Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and Pt. Shivkumar Sharma. Further the Tender Roots ensemble of 10 students which performed in concerts at Mumbai was even invited specially for the Jackfruit festival in Bengaluru, giving the students a live music tour experience.
