Dr Maffetone is Hyderabad Marathon’s event ambassador
Renowned coach for endurance athletes, Dr Phil Maffetone is now the event ambassador for the upcoming sixth edition of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon. The announcement came from Hyderabad Runners Society (HRS) and Bharti Airtel on Monday.
Renowned coach for endurance athletes, Dr Phil Maffetone is now the event ambassador for the upcoming sixth edition of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon. The announcement came from Hyderabad Runners Society (HRS) and Bharti Airtel on Monday.
“Dr Maffetone is a key proponent on health, lifestyle and fitness. He is most well known as the coach of Mark Allen, six-time Ironman World Champion,” said a statement released from the HRS.
“In addition, he has worked with endurance athletes from professional baseball and football players, adventurers, NASCAR drivers, and Olympic Marathoners.
Most importantly, Dr Maffetone has worked with and helped thousands reach their goals of improved health and fitness,” informed the statement.
With over 16,000 registrations this year, Hyderabad Runners is hopeful that Dr Maffetone’s addition will spark more interest in the runners’ community.
