Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Dr Aslam Parvaiz advised the students to imbibe morals and social ethics and maintain a healthy and ethical lifestyle. He advised students against submitting to prevalent social evils like late night groupings, and stressed the role of early to bed and early to rise.

Academic toppers from various streams of education were awarded gold medals and certificates of merit at the 27th Madina Gold Medals function at Nehru Auditorium, Madina Education and Welfare Society on Thursday.

He advised students against submitting to prevalent social evils like late night groupings, and stressed the role of early to bed and early to rise.

Emphasising the social responsibility of these achievers, Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir said, “Education is the strongest way to fight poverty.” He urged students to enhance their academic and technical skills for greater competitive advantage and lauded the toppers for their achievements.

Senior economist Amirullah Khan, Advisor to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USA advised the students to imbibe humility in their social conduct. “All great people have one thing in common and that is humility despite their iconic social persona,” he remined.

Earlier, KM Arifuddin, Secretary Madina Education and Welfare Society delivered the welcome address. Upto 200 toppers from KG to PG from across the State were awarded medals on this occasion.
