South Central Railway’s work culture hailed

Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway complimented the work force for achieving best results during the financial year 2016-17 and earning the distinction as best performing Zone on Indian Railways.

The GM was addressing a gathering of railway officers, staff and their family members at the 62nd Railway Week Zonal Level Celebrations held at Rail Kalarang in Secunderabad on Tuesday.

Elaborating on the attainments of SCR, Yadav stated that SCR has made a mark at the national level amongst all Zones on Indian Railways by bagging ‘All India Performance Efficiency Shields’ in five disciplines. Making a strong pitch for conservation of water and ecology, Yadav informed that SCR is undertaking steps towards water conservation.

Later, the GM presented 278 awards for meritorious officers and staff of SCR. He also gave away 32 ‘Efficiency Shields’ to Departments & Divisions and 32 Group Awards.

The culmination of the glittering function was marked by presentation of the General Manager’s efficiency shield for over all best performance to Secunderabad & Guntakal Divisions, who bagged it jointly. Ashesh Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and Amitabh Ojha, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal Division received the shield along with their team of Officers.
