Sidharth Bendi, an 18-year-old, an aspiring singer/songwriter from Hyderabad, and a student of CBIT, is also the founder of a student initiative-turned, NGO, ‘The Beautiful World Movement’. The NGO organises orphanage and animal shelter visits for high school and college students during all the vacations, and also holds a fundraiser every May and October, which are the vacation months for students everywhere.

About the NGO he says, “‘The Beautiful World Movement’, was an idea that emerged through writing a song called ‘Beautiful World’, which was inspired by the Paris attacks that happened in November 2015. Right after completing exams in April, 2016, I along with a few friends started the campaign to visit under privileged children and made a music video compiling the videos of all the visits.”

The idea grew along with the organisation when they decided to start raising funds. “‘The Beautiful World Family’ includes students only, and is open to participation from anyone, as long as they are voluntarily willing to help. The funds raised will be used to buy school dress for children at 'Grace Children's Home' in Sainikpuri and 'Forum for Street Boys' in Ranigunj. In addition to that, we will also be buy medicines and food to help 'People For Animals (PFA)'.

“It's been exactly a year since we started, and we are now a registered NGO, and we will be doing the 3rd fundraiser on May 21, which follows the ones held in May 2016 and October 2016,” shares Sidharth. This fundraiser event at Our Sacred Space scheduled to be held on Sunday will be bustling with stalls of art and food, but more importantly it will be a platform for young musicians from across the city. The tagline that Sidharth strongly abides by is 'spread love through music' as this whole concept has risen from a song.
