The three-day theatre festival ‘R Vidyasagar Rao Natakotsavalu’ organised by Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana along with Telangana Theatre Research Centre concluded recently at Ravindra Bharati.

On the last day, a play titled ‘Goodbye’ was staged. It was helmed by Chirra Rajesh Khanna and revolves around two friends Prasadh and Nageshwar Rao. Prasadh is a greedy guy and womaniser. He always uses his friend for his personal works. Later, he marries a girl Padma. After coming to know his real traits, Padma and his friend Nageshwar leave him.

The play emphasises on the message that greed is the only reason for a man’s downfall in every field. It showcases how friendship is negatively used for a man’s personal needs. Prasadh's character perfectly describes how people are not satisfied with what they have and how they always look to get more, even if they have enough.

The 60-minute play explores how friendship is used for money. In the end, the play concludes by stressing the dangers of greed. Actors in the play – Sudhakar, Priya, Raraju, Karunakar, Surya, Madhu, Satish and Rajesh mesmerised the audience with their flawless dialogue delivery and expressions.
