The annual 19-day ‘Heritage Fest’ will begin in the city on July 27. The announcement came through a statement from SMB Raju, Programme Head on Thursday that said, “We are pleased to inform you that Hare Krishna Movement Hyderabad is organising the mega festival for school students from LKG to 10th in different parts of the city.”

The announcement came through a statement from SMB Raju, Programme Head on Thursday that said, “We are pleased to inform you that Hare Krishna Movement Hyderabad is organising the mega festival for school students from LKG to 10th in different parts of the city.”

The event is an open competition of heritage based event with free entry for every participant. “It will be a visual delight to witness enthusiastic students participate actively in the cultural carnival of contests displaying their creativity and talent in the pleasure of Vedic ambiance,” said Raju.

“From traditional events such as rangoli, Gita chanting, flower arrangement, folk dance, and classical music and dance, there are contests such as, elocution, painting, sketching, and storytelling among others, to tap children’s creativity, intellect, and artistic inclinations,” he said. The contests are open for public viewing, too.

The winners of the contest will be given gold, silver and bronze medals, mementos, trophies on September 2. Prizes shall be handed over by the President of Hare Krishna Movement- Hyderabad, Satya Goura Chandra Dasa.
