The 11th edition of ‘The Park New Festival’ was concluded recently in Hyderabad. Organised by The Park Hotels and Prakriti Foundation, the fest was held across six cities including Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

As a part of the festival, a play ‘Take 35’ was staged at Park Hotel on Sunday. Anuradha Menon popularly known as Lola Kutty penned and acted in the play.

Directed by Faezah Jalali, ‘Take 35’ showcases the problems of a child actor Anamika, who is into adulthood now. The play opens in makeup van and shows the 35-year-old Anamika, who recollects her past victories, struggles, sibling rivalry and more in a comic way.

The 45-minute solo act depicts the various stages in a life of a woman and how she overcame it. The play shows how child actor Anamika failed to make it big on silver screen.

On the other hand, the play also depicts, how many people do not make a successful career post their stint as a child actor. ‘Take 35’ explored the everyday things in a woman’s life through the Anamika’s character. Anuradha Menon mesmerised the audience with her acting skills.
