“In the era when information technology (IT) is ubiquitous, while there are still plenteous opportunities in Gulf, opportunities for skilled Indians are rising in Europe. In fact, Europe could be the next big destination for skilled Indian workforce,” said CEO and Executive Director of Techno World Group (TWG) International, AR Rahman.

Addressing the skill development and youth empowerment organisation’s 20th anniversary, Rahman said, “The skill deficit among Indian students vying for job opportunities abroad is contributing to increase in unemployment among youth. There is a gap between academics and industry that can only be compensated by industry experts with strong technical and functional skills."

TWG has several centres across the country, and the Middle East that are 'counselling students and imparting specialized training that seals the knowledge gap'. The organisation has trained and placed over 12,000 candidates across India and Middle East, in the last 20 years.

TWG has announced to set up full-fledged academic and vocational colleges that offer these specialised and job-ready courses for youth. "By 2020, we plan to greatly contribute to solve the problem of unemployment. When students are imparted skills they need at job during their academic sojourn, they will be market-ready by the time they graduate. This will greatly boost their chances of employment," observed Rahman.

Currently, the centre is training candidates, including the financially challenged in collaboration with an NGO, across diverse verticals including Fire and Safety, QA and QC, Pharma industry, Internet of Things, and supply chain management among others.

Head of International Operations in Middle East, Anwar Magi said "There are tremendous opportunities for skilled candidates, provided they get right industrial exposure. TWG studies market demand abroad, and develops accordingly develops courses in India. This reverse engineering process has proven greatly beneficial to us and the aspiring youth.”

Principal of Trainings, Padmavati, VP Training Abdul Lateef, Zahid Hussain - Head of Trainings, ex-serviceman and senior consultant Mirza Wahid were also present on this occasion.
