Kapra: Student Federation of India (SFI) staged protest at ECIL Cross Roads on Monday demanding suspension of Hyderabad Central University (HCU) Vice-Chancellor Apparao and withdrawal of suspension imposed on 10 students.

SFI leaders said harassment of students belonging to dalit, bahujan and the downtrodden communities have increased since Apparao assumed the office. “The university suspended the students on the pretext of attacking warden,” they added.

They appealed to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to intervene in the issue and ensure justice to the students.

SFI Medchal President R Santhosh, Secretary M Naresh, leaders P Shankar, Naveen, Praveen, Bhaskar and others were present.
