Hyderabad: World’s Energy Conservation Day was celebrated on a grand note at St Peter’s Engineering College here on Thursday.

G Mahesh Kumar, ADE, Central Power Training Institute, TSSPDCL, Hyderabad was chief guest. He delivered a lecture on Energy Conservation. He said the demand for power by 2030 has been put at 8 lakh MW. But, conservation of energy will bring down the demand to 6 lakh MW. The College Secretary T V Reddy distributed awards to winners of various competitions held on the occasion including essay writing.

College Principal Narendra Kumar, Head of the Department Sri Latha, Public Relations Officer Ravi Sudhakar, teaching and non-teaching staff and students took part in the celebrations.
