Speaking on the occasion Dr Reddy said that good eyesight is important for everyone. “ICL is a good solution that has turned out to be a boon to overcome vision problems. People no longer need to put in and remove contact lenses frequently. We successfully carried out many ICL surgeries and paved way to reach out their life ambitions,” he said.
Country Head, Staar Surgicals (USA) Achal Aanad said contact lenses are still an impediment when wore for long hours. Spectacles have become a thing of past after ICL procedures came in to use. With UV protection ICL is also effective in preventing dry eye problems. This is an effective solution for people with thin corneas.
Though slightly expensive than standard Lasik procedures, ICL is one of the best quality solution for permanent correction of glass powers. ICL surgeries can be performed only by highly experienced surgeons.
