Hyderabad: President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani will visit Hyderabad to strengthen trade relations with the Southern part of the country. As part of fortifying bilateral relations between the two countries, Consul General Mohammed Haghbin Ghomi of Islamic Republic of Iran assured to focus more on economic and business relations besides cultural affairs.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Ghomi said, “The President of Islamic Republic of Iran has expressed interest to travel to India and both the countries are preparing grounds for his visit. This visit is in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Iran, recently.” “In the west Asia region, India and Iran are two decisive powers that can cooperate in various fields complementarily,” he said.

He condemned the United States’ decision to make Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and termed the decision as “imprudent and provocative”. He called on the international community to intervene and “stop the implementation of the US decision because it only serves the Zionist regime’s interests,” he said.

“If the Muslim world maintains unity and solidarity, it will be dominant on the atrocious powers, and the United States and the Zionist regime will not be able to proclaim Jerusalem as the centre of its usurped regime,” he said.
