Leopard killed a goat and a sheep
A prowling leopard killed a goat and a sheep on the outskirts of Anantasagar village in Kulakacharla mandal of the district, striking terror among villagers during the past one week.
Parigi: A prowling leopard killed a goat and a sheep on the outskirts of Anantasagar village in Kulakacharla mandal of the district, striking terror among villagers during the past one week.
The wild cat killed the animals belonging to Golla Mahesh of the village. The villagers are dreading to venture out to work in fields.
The forest department officials were alerted about it, but of no use, he said.
Earlier, they took steps to catch the wild cats in Kulakacharla, Doma and Gandeed mandals and sent them to zoological park.
The farmers are not taking risk to leave their animals in drying yards, but bringing them home for their safety. The farmers are dreaded to go to their farm to release water to crops at night.
They appeal to the forest authorities to take steps to apprehend the leopard to save their animals from the wild beast.
