Mock drill conducted at Metro station
The Fire department conducted mock drills at NGRI metro station here on Wednesday. Every week the department conducts mock drills at the metro stations located in the zone.
Habsiguda: The Fire department conducted mock drills at NGRI metro station here on Wednesday. Every week the department conducts mock drills at the metro stations located in the zone.
A senior police officer from the fire department told The Hans India, “A team of 20 police officers conducted the mock drill. During the drill, we trained the people on the station as to how to use the lift during fire accident for safe evacuation,
and also trained the locals how to use the fire equipments on the station in case of mishap before the fire brigade reaches the spot. We also trained the people as to how to give first aid to people who get burnt during fire mishaps.”
He further added, “The mock drill at the metro station lasted for about 30 minutes. Every Wednesday we conduct mock drills at metro stations and on Fridays we select a premise like petrol pump, school and hospital, apartments and conduct awareness programmes in their campus.”
