The All India Industrial Exhibition 2018 Numaish is leaving no stone unturned to attract visitors. For the first time in the history of Numaish members of the society arranged an exhibition of Ikebana (Japanese art of flower arrangement) in collaboration with Ohara School of Ikebana Hyderabad Chapter. The event was inaugurated by Vice President of Exhibition Society Narotham Reddy on Friday. 

Nampally: The All India Industrial Exhibition 2018 Numaish is leaving no stone unturned to attract visitors. For the first time in the history of Numaish members of the society arranged an exhibition of Ikebana (Japanese art of flower arrangement) in collaboration with Ohara School of Ikebana Hyderabad Chapter. The event was inaugurated by Vice President of Exhibition Society Narotham Reddy on Friday.

It will conclude on Saturday. Ikebana is a traditional art form of Japan which involves the creative arrangements of flowers, branches and leaves in various combinations. Ikebana came into origin with the introduction of Buddhism to Japan more than 600 years ago and the art form evolved from mere offering of flowers to Buddha in temple at the altar to many style and schools.

President of Ohara School of Ikebana Hyderabad Chapter Jaishree Shunmugaraj said ‘this is the first time we are showcasing Ikebana at the All India Industrial Exhibition 2018. She said that the members of school have used all-natural flowers, leaves and garden material for decoration. She added that the Ohara School of Ikebana is a non-profit organisation established in 1988.
