Telangana State will host the first ‘World Congress on Reproductive Health with Emphasis on Family Planning and Assisted Reproductive Technology’ in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Telangana State will host the first ‘World Congress on Reproductive Health with Emphasis on Family Planning and Assisted Reproductive Technology’ in Hyderabad.

The 3-day conference is scheduled to be held at the CSIR – Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Uppal Road, Tarnaka in Hyderabad from February 23-25. It is jointly organised by MHRT and the 28th Annual Meeting of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF – 2018).

According to organising secretary of the World Congress and Director of Maternal Health and Research Trust (MHRT) Dr. Roya Rozati, the world congress will be inaugurated by Telangana State Health Minister Dr. C. Lakshma Reddy on 23rd February at 6pm.

It will be presided over by Telangana State Director of Medical Education Dr. K. Ramesh Reddy while Telangana State Medical Council Chairman Dr. E. Ravinder Reddy will be the Guest of Honour”.

“The world congress aims to provide a platform for coordination and exchange of knowledge among different stakeholders in the field of reproductive health. It will focus on reviewing the advances in the area of reproductive health, identify emerging challenges and frame appropriate strategies for family planning, infertility and assisted reproduction, so that the national goals could be achieved”, she added.

The World Congress will bring together Scientists, Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Assisted Reproductive Specialists, Embryologists, Public Health Specialists, Veterinarians, Social Scientists, demographers, and policy makers from academic as well as other verticals on one platform. It will also cater to broad and relevant different aspects of reproductive health.

Professors, Research Scholars from different universities, heads of different hospitals across India and abroad will present relevant research papers. Dr. C. V. Rao, Florida International University (USA), Dr. Ravider Anand, University of Nottingham, O.P. Sharma – Johnson & Johnson (USA), Professor Paul Fogarty | Penang Medical College Malaysia, and scholars representing universities from Germany, Turkey are noteworthy.
