CCMB Founder’s Day held

The Founder\'s Day was held at CSIR-CCMB on Thursday. Director Dr. Rakesh Kumar was present on this occasion. Chief guest Prof. Arun Kumar Grover Vice-Chancellor, Punjab University gave a lecture on higher education and research in pre and post independent India, from a personal perspective.
The Founder's Day was held at CSIR-CCMB on Thursday. Director Dr. Rakesh Kumar was present on this occasion. Chief guest Prof. Arun Kumar Grover Vice-Chancellor, Punjab University gave a lecture on higher education and research in pre and post independent India, from a personal perspective.
In his lecture he spoke on evolution of higher education and he also spoke about the prominent universities of India, when and how these universities came up.
Talking with The Hans India Dr. Arun Kumar Grover said that adequate support by state government for universities and universities depend on internal income from enrolment of students and govt should fund these universities for betterment of students.
