Governor to release ‘panchagam’ today
The New Year’s English Srivilambanama ‘panchagam’ translated by prominent Siddhanti Yalamanchi Sridhar Sarma will be released by Governor E S L Narasimhan in Raj Bhavan on Saturday, announced ‘Darsanam’ monthly magazine editor Venkataramana Sarma on Friday.
Somajiguda: The New Year’s English Srivilambanama ‘panchagam’ translated by prominent Siddhanti Yalamanchi Sridhar Sarma will be released by Governor E S L Narasimhan in Raj Bhavan on Saturday, announced ‘Darsanam’ monthly magazine editor Venkataramana Sarma on Friday.
Addressing a media conference here at Press Club, Sarma released the brochure on the release of the panchagam along with the Siddhanti, they stated that it has been compiled by Veda pundits, archakas and purohiths. It lists details of the festivals being celebrated by the people. The panchangam has been translated into English for the benefit of Telugus across the world.
Among those present were representative of Srivaracharya Seva Trust Murthy, Prapancha Brahmana Sangham women’s secretary Gita Murthy.
