Inaugurating a seminar at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram organised to mark the conclusion of Mahajana Party’s padayatra, he claimed that attacks on social activists have increased in the country, The MLA stated that there was a possibility of early general elections. He stressed the importance of extending the BLF across the country.
Mewani apprehended a threat to the country if the RSS and Sangh Pariwar were not stopped. For this, he emphasised the need for communists and democratlc forces to unite. Kaki Madhav Rao, former Chief Secretary, chaired the seminar. Among the participants were CPI(M) State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram, TMASS chairman and convener Kanche Ilaiah, John Wesley, balladeer Gadhar, BLF chairman Nalla Suryaprakash.
