Post-card campaign by PDSU seeking fellowship
Students of the Progressive Democratic Students’ Union (PDSU) on Wedneday embarked on a post-card campaign seeking fellowships to students pursuing education in various universities. Highlighting their demand, they sent post-cards to Governor ESl Narasimhan, who is the chancellor of universities.

PDSU Hyderabad district president S Nageswara Rao sought payment of Rs 8000 per month as fellowship to each research scholar and Rs 3000 to each PG student. He came down heavily on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not releasing funds to universities. He charged the government with trying to privatise and corporatize the education sector.
He threatened to intensify the agitation if the state government did not strive for development of universities. PDSU Osmania University campus president Vishnu, Secretary Gaddam Shyam and others took part.
