In the afternoon, strong gales swept across the region rising a lot of dust. It was followed by thunder showers and hail storms. Paddy harvested, but dried in the field was totally submerged in the water causing loss to the farmer.
Agriculture officer Bala koteswara Rao told The Hans India that the farmers who have paid the crop insurance premium are entitled to get compensation for the crop loss. Those farmers who have recently availed the crop loan would be able to get compensation.
