GHMC offers internship for ‘Swachh Hyderabad’ initiative
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is offering first time internship to students and working professionals in Hyderabad. In line with the ongoing Swachh Bharat programme, it aims to give a realistic exposure to the participants, bring in new ideas and energy in GHMC.
Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is offering first time internship to students and working professionals in Hyderabad. In line with the ongoing Swachh Bharat programme, it aims to give a realistic exposure to the participants, bring in new ideas and energy in GHMC.
The participants will have an experience of working with GHMC, and an opportunity to interact with various stakeholders, citizens, commercial establishments, households etc. It is expected of participants to visit one or more areas under GHMC and participate in various activities to contribute to the cause of better sanitation in Hyderabad and create mass awareness on source segregation of waste.
The programme is expected to not only provide a great learning experience to the participants but also hopes to further the existing measures undertaken by GHMC in ensuring a clean and healthy city. Also, the initiative aims to develop the skill and orientation of youth and provide them an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the ‘Swachh Revolution’ in Hyderabad. GHMC believes that involving more youth will bring in more citizen participation in the goal of making a Swachh Hyderabad.
